As an outstanding practitioner first and foremost, I have been teaching Art and Graphic Design for 14 years with creativity and self expression at the forefront of my ethos as a teacher. In my previous role I was the Leader of Graphics within a thriving Technology department. I have had the privilege to learn from previous heads of department and am ready to guide others utilising the techniques and strategies I have seen to be successful.  I am fully equipped with skills and techniques in using all technology and art media and am confident in demonstrating and inspiring any form of Art & Design.

My personal values are that each and every student should be able to achieve their highest personal potential, both in terms of academic achievement, as well as personal wellbeing. It is well known that the largest single variable to impact upon the achievement gap is that of the effective teacher and therefore professional development is absolutely imperative. Central to my belief system, is my commitment to what we can do as leaders to have a positive impact on the lives and life chances of all members of the community through consistency of demand for high expectations and a willingness to hold myself, staff and students to account for meeting them.

Staff, students and parents I have worked with, view me as a visionary, very creative and strategic thinker, a pace setter, a positive role model for others but first and foremost, an inspirational leader who has the highest expectations and will not compromise on the quality of teaching and learning.
